My wife and I recently finished our TV Lift project and are very pleased with how it came out. Since we live in a very small apartment, we didn’t want a large TV to be exposed as the main centerpiece of our living room. We previously had built a wooden ‘fireplace’ and mantle, with an electric decorative log set inside. When we obtained a 42” flatscreen plasma TV, we decided to conceal it inside of the fireplace. STEP1 * At the suggestion of a co-worker who already purchased parts from your company, I purchased your 30" stroke tubular actuator (150 lb force), two MB2 brackets, and one set of your 32" drawer slides to make the TV lift. STEP2 * Using the "Do It Yourself" TV Lift Project instructions and pictures on your website as a guide, we constructed a TV lift mechanism to suit our needs. We mounted the TV to the lift and set it inside of the decorative fireplace. By tacking a yard of black felt to the inside of the fireplace, the TV is hidden from view when it is in the down position.
